The building of the tabernacle in the wilderness challenges us to ask: What may we bring and make and offer and create that reflects what we believe about God? What does it look like for us to welcome for God's presence and make room for God to abide here, in whatever form God's presence may take? How do we create space for God to travel with us, to dwell among us? How might our life together be changed if we found a way to understand all that we are doingâin mission, in outreach, in service, in worship, in study, in meditation and prayer and relationship and potluck--as making room for the presence of God among usâ¦as hosting the holy, right in our midst?
